Position Summary
Position Overview & Financial Operations
The Controller directs the implementation, utilization, and continuous improvement of financial reporting and analytics solutions across the organization. Reporting directly to operational leadership, this role leads the development of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, rolling forecast models, and business insight tools. The position is responsible for identifying relevant financial trends to support strategic decision-making and ensuring department leaders receive dedicated assistance in evaluating monthly operational results.
Team Leadership & Administrative Responsibilities
In addition to financial planning, the Controller directs daily operations for the financial planning and analysis team, establishing annual goals, objectives, and departmental strategies. This role carries full personnel management duties, including recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, and compensation determinations. Candidates must possess an Associate’s degree along with seven years of relevant experience, including at least five years in a leadership capacity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:- Oversees the utilization and continuous improvement of the financial reports and analytics used by the healthcare operational leadership.
- Leads the development of budget, long-term plan and rolling forecast models and other financial as well as business insight tools.
- Identifies and communicates appropriate and relevant financial and operational information and trends as a basis for making management decisions. Ensures thorough, accurate, and timely reports are produced on schedule by the team.
- Provides department leaders with the necessary support for evaluation of their monthly operational results and development of annual budgets.
- Directs the daily operations of the financial planning and analysis team and prepares annual goals, objectives, and strategies for the team.
- Responsible for management functions including activities related to staffing such as recruitment, hiring, performance evaluation, and compensation determination.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Associate’s degree
- Seven years' experience, with five years' in leadership
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
